SHORT BIOThe Prettyman family
Christine and I were married on June 20, 1998. After four years of traveling as a couple, God began to bless us with children. God has graciously given us six children that we have surrendered to His service:
Noah James (June 2002) Hannah Faith (Aug. 2004) Isaiah Taylor (Sept. 2005) Micah Duncan Campbell (Nov. 2009) Selah Carmichael (Jan. 2013) Ezrah Judson (Mar. 2015) Salvation
Both Christine and I had the blessing of growing up in solid Christian families. By the time I was four years old, I had heard my dad preach the Gospel many times. Understanding that I was a sinner who deserved God's wrath in Hell, I repented of my sin and trusted Christ to save me. Christine also came to trust Christ as her Savior at the age of four.
Formative Years
I was blessed to sit under my father's ministry at Twin Cities Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska, for the first 18 years of my life. Christine's family were members at Marquette Manor Baptist in Downers Grove, Illinois. It was really here that God formed a biblical foundation in our lives.
College
Christine and I further developed in our walk with God under the mentorship of Pastor Jim Schettler and Dr. Bill Rice III at Pensacola Christian College (1994-1998). I graduated with a BA in Evangelism and Christine graduated with a BS in Speech/Music. As a Freshman in college, I heard the call of God to full-time ministry and surrendered to do His will.
Evangelism
After being ordained and sent out from my father's church, the Lord directed us into full-time itinerant evangelism. We traveled from 2000 to 2010 primarily in the US and Canada. God strengthened our faith during these years, teaching us to lean on Him alone, to look to Christ for victory, and to trust the Holy Spirit for power to do the impossible. During a missions trip to Haiti in 2006, God began to plant the burden for foreign mission work in my heart.
Pine Bluffs, Wyoming
In 2010 the Lord directed our steps to plant a church in the small town of Pine Bluffs in Eastern Wyoming. I pastored Greater Works Baptist Church for about three years until the Lord answered our prayer for a permanent church-planter who moved into a small town just west of Pine Bluffs. Our small church merged with his growing work, and the Lord took us back to our home church, Cornerstone Baptist Church, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Cornerstone Baptist Church
During the last year and a half, it has been thrilling to serve as a staff Evangelist for our home church. After being away for so long and being able to visit only a few weeks out of the year, we felt it was time to reconnect in a vital way with our pastor and church. We can see now why God planned it that way. During the last year and a half, the Lord has grown our church specifically in our vision for "the uttermost." What a blessing to be growing right along with it!
