After much prayer, God placed the burden on our church to begin the Greater Works Union Baptist Missions in 2015.  We count it a great blessing to have our home church as our sending authority as well as our financial accountability.  We have sought to follow the healthy policies and practices of faithful mission agencies while placing the responsibility and oversight on the local church.

While we are deeply thankful for the many Christ-centered mission agencies that serve the local church, we sensed the Lord clearly directing Cornerstone Baptist Church to take the direct oversight and responsibility for the missionaries sent out from our church.  It is our burden that the church be actively engaged with all that is happening on the mission field.

We have thoroughly reviewed the details involved in providing adequate financial and personal accountability, and have been blessed with Spirit-filled Christians willing to labor at the home- base to make it all happen on a week to week basis.

The name "Greater Works Union" reflects a passion to believe and obey John 14:12 in our generation.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also;
and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
We are convinced that the heart of this promise and the theme of the upper-room discourse found in John 14-17 is the global advance of the Gospel in every generation.  We are united together in simple faith that this promise extends to us.
